The power of the CISO

This presentation is oriented to understand the different types of power that may exist in the organization and how these can affect the work of the CISO. Generally we know that many times CISOs are victims of budget cuts, low investment to carry out projects or hire personnel, or that occasionally do not have direct line with the general manager of a company or have never been in front of the board, one of the factors of why this situation occurs is because the CISO has no power within the organization.

This research aims to give a look at the different types of power that a CISO can have, perform a self-analysis of what kind of power needs to be developed and how to do it in order to obtain greater visibility within the organization, as well as being a important architect in the fulfillment of the business objectives of the organization.

In addition, the idea is to be able to design a simple roadmap for the purpose of obtaining greater power within the organization.
